根據氣象局觀測，颱風蘇迪勒中心位置約在馬祖南方140公里海面，距大陸福建不到70公里，正以每小時18公里的速度向西北西轉西北行進，午夜前後就會登陸中國大陸福建。
氣象局說，蘇迪勒颱風登陸福建後，受地形破壞影響，強度將逐漸減弱，暴風半徑也會縮小，台灣本島將陸續脫離暴風範圍，不過外島澎湖金門馬祖依然籠罩在暴風圈中，預計要到明天上午才會正式解除警報。
受西南風影響，今晚中南部和台東山區出現風雨，根據氣象局觀測，高雄市多納林道累積雨量651毫米、屏東縣泰武578毫米、嘉義縣龍美505毫米、台南市關子嶺436毫米，都達到超大豪雨等級，氣象局也持續發布超大豪雨和大豪雨特報，提醒民眾做好防颱措施。1040808
